Monarchs are good.
The Monarchs

Caius the Shadow Monarch
6 Star, DARK, Fiend/Effect
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, remove from play 1 card on the field. If it was a DARK Monster Card, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

Best monarch, just by tributing this card, you can remove from play a card on the field. Run 3 in all builds.

Raiza the Storm Monarch
6 Star, Wind, Winged-Beast/Effect
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, return 1 card on the field to the top of its owner's Deck.

Second best monarch, you can return synchros, are usually your oppenent cannot play the card you sent to the top of the deck. Run 3.

Mobius the Frost Monarch
6 Star, Water, Aqua/Effect
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, you can destroy up to 2 Spell or Trap Cards on the field.

This card can destroy spells and traps which generates into a +2 with treeborn frog. Run 1-2.

Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch
6 Star, Fire, Pyro/Effect
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, randomly discard 1 card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard. If the discarded card was a Monster Card, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the Level of the monster x 100.

With those dark worlds out there, i'd run 0-1.

Zaborg the Thunder Monarch
5 Star, Light, Thunder/Effect
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1000
When this card is Tribute Summoned, destroy 1 monster on the field.
This card used to be the best monarch. Until Caius came out. Run 0.

Delg the Dark Monarch
6 star, Dark, Spellcaster/Effect
ATK: 2400 DEF: 1000
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can select and remove from play up to 2 cards from your opponent's Graveyard. For each card removed, send 1 card from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned.

Horrible. Run 0.

The Monsters:

Light and Darkness Dragon
8 Star, Light, Dragon/Effect
ATK: 2800 DEF: 2400
This card cannot be Special Summoned. While this card is face-up on the field, its Attribute is also treated as DARK. When a Spell or Trap Card is activated, or the effect of an Effect Monster is activated, that activation is negated and this card loses 500 ATK and DEF. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, select 1 monster in your Graveyard. Then destroy all cards you control, and Special Summon that monster.

This card is the boss monster of monarchs. This card negates everything, but it gets weaker everytime it negates, but usually no big deal. When this card is destroyed, just by destroying all cards you control, you get to special summon a monster. Run 2-3

Dark Dust Spirit
6 Stars, Earth, Zombie/Spirit
ATK: 2200 DEF: 1800
This card cannot be Special Summoned. During the End Phase of the turn that this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up, return it to its owner's hand. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up, destroy all other face-up monsters.

Good card, since this card destroy all other face up monsters, and since it is a spirit, you can keep re-using it. Run 1-2.

Jinzo

This card does not give you advantage, but it does negate traps. Usually people dont run this. Run 0-2

This card cannot be Special Summoned. While this card is on the field, neither player can Special Summon monsters.

With all those special summons out there, this card counters them. In this meta, every deck special summons, so having at least 1 copy of this is a must. Run 1-2 in main or side.

Treeborn Frog
1 Star, Water, Aqua/Effect
ATK: 100 DEF: 100
If this card is in your Graveyard during your Standby Phase and you control no Spell or Trap Cards, you can Special Summon it. This effect cannot be activated if you control a face-up "Treeborn Frog".

This card is what you tribute for the monarchs. Run 2.

Battle Fader
1 Star, Dark, Fiend/Effect
ATK: 0 DEF: 0
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack, you can Special Summon this card from your hand and end the Battle Phase. If you Special Summon this card with this effect, this card is removed from play when it is removed from the field.

You can negate a direct attack AND special summon it, and next turn you can tribute this card for a monarch. Good card. Run 3.


Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
7 Star, Dark, Fiend/Effect
ATK: 2700 DEF: 2500
When you take damage from a card your opponent controls while you control no cards, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Then activate the Appropriate effect, based on the type of damage:
● Battle Damage: Special Summon 1 "Emissary of Darkness Token" (Fairy-Type/LIGHT/Level 7/ATK ?/DEF ?). Its ATK and DEF are each equal to the amount of battle damage you took.
● Effect Damage: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the damage you took.

This card is good. Run 1.

Tragoedia
Level 10, Dark, Fiend/Effect
ATK:? DEF:?
You can Special Summon this card from your hand when you take Battle Damage . This card gains 600 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand. Once per turn, you can send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard to take control of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with the same Level as the sent monster. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster in your Graveyard; this card's Level becomes the same as that monster's, until the End Phase.

This card can become tribute fodder, a OTK stopper, and you can synchro with this if your running Genex Monarchs. Run 0-2.

Ronintoadin
2 Star, Water, Aqua/Effect
ATK: 100 DEF: 2000

This card's name is treated as "Des Frog" while face-up on the field. You can remove from play 1 "Frog" monster in your Graveyard, except "Frog the Jam", to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster.

Many uses of this card in frog monarchs. It can be summoned to tribute and defend. Run 0-1.

Effect Veiler
1 Star, Light, Spellcaster/Tuner
ATK: 0 DEF: 0
During your opponent's Main Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to select 1 face-up Effect Monster your opponent controls. Negate the effect(s) of that monster until the End Phase.

NEGATING EFFECTS AND IS A TUNER? ME PLEASE!! Run 2-3.

Glow-Up Bulb
1 Star, Earth, Plant/Tuner
ATK: 100 DEF: 100
You can send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard and Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. Each player can only use the effect of "Glow-Up Bulb" once per Duel.
For tributes or synchros and can be used in dangerous situations. And sometimes, you can mill a treeborn frog. Run 0-1.

Cyber Dragon
5 Star, Light, Machine/Effect
ATK: 2100 DEF: 1600
If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand.

You can special summon this card and then tribute for a stronger monster. Usually put 2 in side, 0 in main.

Dandylion
3 Star, Earth, Plant/Effect
ATK:300 DEF: 300
Quote:
When this card is sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 2 "Fluff Tokens" (Plant-Type/WIND/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position. These Tokens cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon during the turn they are Special Summoned.

Speaks for itself, summoning 2 tokens. Run 0-1.

Reborn Tengu
4 Star, WIND, Beast-Warrior/Effect
ATK: 1700 DEF: 600
When this card is removed from the field, Special Summon 1 "Reborn Tengu" from your Deck.

You can tribute this card for enemy controller or a monarch, and another reborn tengu comes! Run 0 or 3.

Synchros

Formula Synchron
2 Star, Light, Machine/Synchro/Tuner
ATK: 200 DEF: 1500
1 Tuner + 1 non-Tuner Monster
When this card is synchro summoned, you can draw 1 card. During your opponent's Main Phase, you can Synchro Summon if you use this face-up card as a Synchro Material Monster.

Easy to summon with frog monarchs, and you can also draw a card. This card can also synchro on your opponent's turn. Run 1.

Soul Exchange
Normal Spell
Select 1 monster your opponent controls. This turn you can Tribute that monster as if you controlled it. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card.

This card is what keeps monarchs running. You can tribute a monster they control to summon a monarch.. or even LaDD. Run 2-3.

Enemy Controller
Quick-Play Spell
Select and activate 1 of these effects:
●Change the Battle Position of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.
●Tribute 1 monster. Select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Take control of it until the End Phase.

You can stop attacks, or a change of heart just by tributing a monster. Run 3.

Pot of Avarice
Normal Spell
Select 5 Monster Cards in your Graveyard. Return those cards to the Deck, then draw 2 cards.
This card is good if your running many monsters, and monarchs deck should be, but of course, you should only be recycling your monarchs, not your frog engine. Run 1.

Traps;
Treacherous Trap Hole
Normal Trap
Destroy 2 Monsters on the field. You cannot activate this card if you have any Trap Cards in your Graveyard.
This card is good as monarchs deck dont usually run traps. Destroying 2 monsters generates advantage.. but we usually dont want to set cards as it conflicts with treeborn frog.

Run 0-1.

The frog engine consists of:
3 Swap Frog, 2-3 Treeborn Frog, 1 Ronintoadin, 1 Sangan
Marco Monarchs consists of:
3 Dimensional Fissure, 2-3 Macro Cosmos, 3 D.D. Survivor, 0-2 D.D. Scout Plane, 1 Allure of Darkness
Genex engine consists of :
2-3 Swap Frog, 2-3 Genex Undine, 2 Genex Controller, 2 Treeborn Frog, , 1 Allure of Darkness
